TICCIT
(pronounced “ticket”),
Trees Into Cartons, Cartons Into Trees.
TICCIT is an outreach and education program for school-aged children that highlights the renewability and sustainability of paper and paperboard packaging. We encourage companies and youth organizations to get involved, inspire their communities, and launch their own TICCIT programs.
Paperboard Packaging is Everywhere You Look
Think milk cartons
Cereal boxes
Tissue containers
and everything else!
Did You Know?
Our forests are growing bigger than ever because we plant approximately three trees for every tree that we harvest.
Created by the Paperboard Packaging Council in 2010, TICCIT teaches students about the role that trees play in the environment. At the end of the TICCIT presentation, students get to pot a sapling into a paperboard carton filled with soil to take home and plant with their families. The program takes less than an hour, but the impact lasts a lifetime. Get Started:

The Stories of TICCIT
In 2019, over 17,000 saplings were planted through TICCIT and the help of our excited participants. Learn more about their involvement and consider sharing your story here:
Last spring, I hosted my first WestRock-sponsored TICCIT® program at an elementary school in Atlanta. Short for “Trees Into Cartons, Cartons Into Trees,” TICCIT® is a fantastic opportunity for professionals in the carton industry—like you and me—to give back to our communities. With TICCIT®, we teach and inspire students about sustainability, recycling, and the importance of trees.
Participating was rewarding and easy—and I hope you will consider putting on a 2020 TICCIT program of your own.
Since my daughters are out of elementary school, the biggest challenge for me was starting the conversation with the school. I sent a quick email to a former teacher and that’s all it took. The school was thrilled at the opportunity...
